Description
The NEMA17 is a hybrid bipolar stepper motor with a 1.8° step angle, providing 200 steps per revolution for precise positioning and controlled movement. Each phase draws approximately 1.2A at 4V, with a holding torque of approximately 0.5Nm.
This 4-wire stepper motor is commonly used in 3D printers, CNC machines, laser cutters, linear actuators, and other applications where accurate and repeatable motion is required.
Where to use NEMA 17 Stepper Motor
NEMA17 stepper motors are commonly used in CNC machines, hard drives, linear actuators, 3D printers, and other precision-control equipment. With 200 steps per revolution, the 1.8° step angle provides accurate control of shaft position and movement.
The motor can be operated with suitable stepper motor drivers across a range of supply voltages, including 12–24V systems. Proper driver current limiting should be used according to the motor’s electrical specifications.
Stepper Motor Applications
- CNC machines
