Best Practices for Installation & Maintenance
- De-grease and Relubricate: Rails may arrive coated with viscous anti-rust shipping oil. For smooth operation, clean the rail and sliding block with a suitable cleaning agent, allow them to dry, and apply high-quality lithium grease or synthetic linear rail oil.
- Avoid Ball Loss: The sliding block contains an internal retainer to keep the steel balls in position. Avoid completely removing the block from the rail unless it is transferred onto a suitable installation guide.
- Flat Mounting Surfaces: Ensure that the aluminum extrusion, mounting plate, or other surface used to secure the rail is flat and properly aligned to prevent binding or increased friction.
