Description
The DALY 13S 48V 80A Li-ion BMS is designed to protect and manage a 13-series lithium-ion battery pack. With a continuous discharge current rating of 80A and a peak current capability of 240±40A, it is suitable for high-power battery applications where reliable protection and battery management are required.
This BMS uses high-quality MOSFETs and an imported protective IC to provide stable battery protection and efficient operation. The integrated balancing function helps maintain more consistent cell voltages within the battery pack.
Fixed 13S Li-ion Configuration
This is a fixed 13S configuration BMS and is designed specifically for 13-series Li-ion battery packs. It should not be used with other series configurations.
This BMS is strictly designed for Li-ion batteries and is not intended for LiFePO4, Li-Metal, or LTO battery packs.
Protection Functions
Over-Charge Protection
The BMS monitors individual cell voltage and provides over-charge protection. According to the supplied specifications, over-charge detection occurs at 4.25 ± 0.05V per cell, helping protect the battery pack from excessive charging voltage.
Over-Discharge Protection
The BMS monitors each cell during discharge and provides over-discharge protection when the cell voltage reaches the specified protection threshold.
Over-Current Protection
The BMS provides over-current protection with a 1ms detection delay. This helps protect the battery pack and BMS from excessive current conditions.
Short-Circuit Protection
When an external load causes a short circuit, the BMS detects the condition and shuts down the protection circuit according to the specified short-circuit protection parameters.
Temperature Protection
The BMS includes temperature protection during charging and discharging. The supplied specifications specify:
- Charging protection: below -5°C or above 50°C
- Discharge protection: below 70°C
- Working temperature: -20°C to 70°C
- Sleeping temperature: -40°C to 80°C
Cell Balancing
The BMS includes a cell balancing function with a 4.18V balance detection voltage and a typical balance current of 30±5mA. This helps maintain better voltage balance between individual cells in a 13S battery pack.
