Description
The TP4056 Type-C USB 5V 1A Lithium Battery Charger Module is a compact charging and protection board designed for single-cell 3.7V Li-Ion and LiPo batteries, including commonly used 18650 lithium-ion cells. It provides a convenient way to charge a rechargeable lithium battery from a standard 5V USB power source through its USB Type-C input.
Based on the TP4056 charging IC, the module provides a charging current of up to 1000mA and automatically manages the charging process for a single lithium battery. An onboard LED indicator provides a simple visual status indication, with red indicating charging and green indicating a fully charged battery.

How the TP4056 Charging Module Works
The module receives 5V DC power through the USB Type-C connector and uses the TP4056 charging controller to charge a single lithium battery.
During charging, the red LED indicates that the battery is being charged. Once the charging process reaches the specified full-charge condition, the indicator changes to green.
The board is designed for one lithium battery cell only. It should not be used to directly charge multi-cell series battery packs such as 2S, 3S, or 4S packs.
Protection Functions
The module provides protection features intended to help protect the connected battery during operation.
Over-Discharge Protection
The protection circuit monitors the battery voltage and can disconnect the load when the battery is discharged below the specified protection threshold.

Battery Connection
Connect the single lithium battery to the designated B+ and B- terminals on the module.
For the load/output connection, use the designated OUT+ and OUT- terminals where applicable.
Always verify the polarity before connecting the battery. This version does not have reverse-polarity protection, according to the supplied specifications, so incorrect battery connection can damage the module or battery.
