Protection Functions

The HX-2S-JH10 BMS provides several important protection functions to help safeguard connected Li-ion cells:

Overcharge Protection: Helps prevent individual cells from being charged beyond the specified voltage range.

Over-Discharge Protection: Disconnects the load when cell voltage falls below the specified protection threshold.

Overcurrent Protection: Helps protect the battery pack and BMS from excessive current draw.

Short-Circuit Protection: Disconnects the load when a short circuit is detected, with automatic recovery after the protection condition is cleared.

Applications

This 2S 8A 18650 BMS board can be used for:

  • DIY 7.4V Li-ion battery packs
  • 18650 battery projects
  • Portable electronic devices
  • Low-power RC projects
  • DIY power banks
  • Battery-powered gadgets
  • Small robotics projects
  • Rechargeable lithium-ion devices
  • Electronic hobby projects

Important Note

This protection board is designed for standard Li-ion battery cells and should not be used with LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) batteries. It is also not recommended for applications involving high-current motors or other loads that exceed the board’s specified current limits.

Always use compatible Li-ion cells and follow the correct wiring configuration when installing the BMS.
