The 500 × 500mm Double-Sided PEI Spring Steel Sheet with Magnetic Base Plate is designed as a durable and convenient build-surface upgrade for large-format 3D printers, including compatible Ender 5 Max and CR-10 Max size printers.
The PEI-coated spring steel surface provides reliable first-layer adhesion when heated and allows printed models to be removed easily after the build plate has cooled. The flexible design makes print removal simple by slightly bending the plate.

Crucial Installation Tips for 500mm Beds
- Avoid Air Bubbles: Due to the large 500 × 500mm surface area, take care when applying or positioning the magnetic backing or adhesive surface.
- Apply Slowly and Evenly: Roll the magnetic sheet down gradually using a scraper or squeegee to minimize the formation of air bubbles. If small bubbles remain, carefully puncture them with a fine needle and press the trapped air out.
- Re-level and Reset Z-Offset: Installing a spring steel plate and magnetic sheet can increase the overall bed thickness by approximately 1.5–2mm. Re-home the printer, adjust the Z-limit switch or sensor if required, and perform a fresh bed-leveling procedure before printing.
- Proper Maintenance: Avoid metal scrapers and harsh acetone, as they may damage or degrade the PEI coating. For routine cleaning, remove fingerprints and oil using warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft sponge.
