Description
The DALY BMS Li-ion 13S 48V 30A Battery Management System is a dedicated protection and balancing board for 13S lithium-ion battery packs. It is designed for battery packs using compatible Li-ion cells such as 18650, 21700, 36500 cylindrical cells, and suitable prismatic cells.
With a 30A continuous discharge rating, this BMS is suitable for a variety of medium-power battery applications, including electric bikes, electric skateboards, solar systems, RVs, power tools, camping equipment, boats, and household energy storage systems.
The BMS monitors the battery cells and helps protect the pack against conditions such as excessive charging, excessive discharge, over-current, short circuits, and abnormal temperatures.
13S 48V Li-ion BMS
This is a fixed 13S configuration BMS, specifically designed for 13-series Li-ion battery packs. It should not be used with different series configurations or with other battery chemistries.
This BMS is intended for Lithium-ion batteries only and is not designed for LiFePO4, LTO, or other battery chemistries. Make sure the battery chemistry and 13S configuration match the BMS before installation.

This DALY BMS supports a 30A continuous discharge current, with a listed peak current of 90A ± 15A. The board uses power MOSFETs and a heat sink to help handle heat during operation.
The 30A rating makes it suitable for compatible 13S Li-ion battery packs where the required continuous load is within the BMS rating.
Li-ion Battery Balancing
The built-in balancing function helps manage voltage differences between individual series-connected cells. The supplied specifications list a 4.18V balance detection voltage and approximately 30 ± 5mA balance current.
Battery balancing can help maintain more consistent cell voltages and support stable operation of a properly matched battery pack.
Temperature Protection
The BMS includes temperature protection during charging and discharging. The supplied specifications list a working temperature range of -20°C to 70°C, while the charging protection limits are listed separately in the technical specifications.
Short-Circuit and Over-Current Protection
When an external short-circuit or excessive current condition is detected, the BMS can disconnect the battery output to help protect the battery pack and protection circuit.
The supplied specifications list an over-current detection delay of 1ms and a short-circuit detection delay of 250μs.
