TEC1-12706 Thermoelectric Peltier Cooler 12V 6A 60W Module

Description

The TEC1-12706 Thermoelectric Peltier Cooler is a solid-state thermoelectric module that uses the Peltier effect to transfer heat from one side of the module to the other. When DC power is applied, one surface becomes cold while the opposite surface becomes hot.

The module can be used for both cooling and heating. Reversing the polarity of the DC supply changes the direction of heat transfer, allowing the hot and cold sides to be switched.

With its compact 40 × 40 mm design and no moving parts, the TEC1-12706 provides quiet, vibration-free operation. For safe and effective cooling, the hot side must always be connected to a suitable heatsink and thermal interface material to prevent overheating.

How to Use

1. Apply a suitable thermal compound to both surfaces of the Peltier module.
2. Place the module between the cooling surface and a suitable heatsink.
3. Secure the assembly evenly using appropriate mounting hardware.
4. Connect the module to a compatible 12V DC power supply.
5. Ensure the hot side has adequate heatsinking before powering the module.

Important Note!! The heat side requires a heat sink all the time. “ Do not run this device with a power supply more than a few seconds without a heatsink mounted to the device! ”
