Description
The VL53L0X Time-of-Flight Distance Sensor is a compact laser ranging module that measures distance using advanced Time-of-Flight technology. Instead of relying on reflected infrared intensity like traditional IR sensors, it determines distance by measuring the time taken for emitted light to return from an object.
The module provides fast and reliable distance measurements with good performance under varying ambient lighting conditions. Its I²C interface makes it easy to connect with popular microcontrollers and development boards, while the compact design is suitable for embedded and portable applications.
The sensor uses a 940nm VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) emitter and can measure distances up to approximately 2 meters, depending on the target and operating conditions.
