Description
The 3×4 12-Key Matrix Membrane Switch Keypad is a compact and easy-to-use input device featuring 12 buttons arranged in a 3×4 grid, similar to a traditional telephone keypad. Its thin, flexible membrane construction makes it suitable for projects where space is limited or where a flat control panel is preferred.
The keypad uses a matrix output, allowing a microcontroller to identify which button is being pressed by scanning the rows and columns. With 3 columns and 4 rows, the keypad can be scanned using 7 microcontroller pins, making it straightforward to interface with Arduino and other microcontroller boards.
An adhesive backing allows the keypad to be attached directly to a suitable surface by simply removing the protective paper. The included extra-long header strip makes it convenient to connect the keypad to a breadboard or development circuit.
It can be used for PIN/password entry, numeric controls, Arduino projects, automation systems, electronic equipment, instrument panels, and other user-interface applications.
