Description
This external active GPS antenna is designed to help improve GPS reception when the built-in or onboard antenna does not provide enough signal. It features a built-in amplifier that provides additional gain, helping your compatible GPS module receive satellite signals more reliably.
The antenna operates around the 1575.42MHz GPS frequency and supports a power supply of approximately 2.8–5.0V, with 3.3V as the standard operating voltage. It draws around 10mA, making it suitable for many GPS development boards and modules that provide an antenna power output.
With a 3-meter cable, you can position the antenna away from the GPS module and place it where satellite reception is better. The magnetic base allows it to attach easily to metal surfaces such as the roof of a car, truck, or other suitable steel structure.
The antenna comes with a standard SMA bend plug connector and a waterproof design for practical outdoor and vehicle installations.
