Description
The 12x12x5mm Momentary Tactile 4-Pin Pushbutton Switch is a simple and reliable way to add manual control to your electronic projects. Its compact size makes it easy to install on PCBs and breadboards, while the tactile feedback lets you know when the button has been pressed.
This is a momentary switch, meaning it only remains electrically active while the button is being pressed. Once you release it, the switch returns to its normal open state. This makes it useful for applications such as reset buttons, input controls, menu navigation, counters, triggering circuits, and microcontroller projects.
The switch features four pins and a DIP-style design, making it suitable for PCB mounting and breadboard prototyping. It is a practical choice for hobbyists, students, makers, and electronics engineers working on both simple and advanced projects.

How It Works
A switch controls whether current can flow through a circuit. When the tactile button is not pressed, the circuit remains open and current does not flow through the switch. When you press the button, the internal contacts close, completing the circuit and allowing current to pass.
Because this is a momentary switch, the contact only stays closed while you hold the button down. Releasing the button returns.
